About the Band

Just Us started in the 90s as a group of friends with a passion for music just jamming out in a garage. However, as more and more people heard their music, Just Us quickly started booking gigs and performing across the Detroit area.

You’ll hear Just Us playing everything from Classic rock of the late 60s to current music that’s playing on the radio right now. The band says it is inspired by musicians like Tom Petty, Bob Seger and The Rolling Stones.

The unique sound of Just Us features Mike Newman performing lead vocals and playing bass. Terry McGinnis takes on the role of lead guitar and vocals. Trine Martinez keeps the band going with rhythm guitar and backup vocals. The drum beats are courtesy of Logan Valentine.

These days Just Us is performing everywhere from bowling alleys to graduation parties and special events. The band also takes pride in playing at multiple charity events. Just Us has been in the musical lineup for Relay For Life, The Brooksie Way and much more.
